There are two main ways to reach Can Gio-Vung Tau Ferry Terminal from downtown Ho Chi Minh City:
- By motorbike/car & ferry
- From District 1, make your way to Ton Duc Thang Street. Follow the street south and continue onto Nguyen Tat Thanh Street. Keep going and cross Tan Thuan 1 Bridge, then turn right onto Huynh Tan Phat Street.
- Follow Huynh Tan Phat Street all the way to Binh Khanh Ferry Terminal - your gateway to Can Gio District. Buy a ticket and board a ferry along with your vehicle.
- After disembarking, follow Rung Sac Road for about 33 kilometers, then turn left onto Luong Van Nho Road. After about 6 kilometers, turn left onto Tac Xuat Road. The ferry terminal is at the end of this road.
- By bus
- Take Bus no. 75 at Saigon Bus Station. This bus will take you all the way to Can Gio Bus Station, with a transfer by ferry in-between. This convenience is offset by the fact that this bus only has 3 departures daily (7:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 4:30 PM).
- Alternatively, you can take Bus no. 20 to Binh Khanh Ferry Terminal. Board the ferry, disembark, then take Bus no. 90 to get to Can Gio Bus Station.
- At Can Gio Bus Station, you can hop on a local motorbike taxi to get to Can Gio-Vung Tau Ferry Terminal (about 1.3 kilometers away).
