3. Highlights of Pho Quang Pagoda
3.1. Architecture
Pho Quang Pagoda spans over 6,000 square meters and is one of Vietnam's most unique spiritual structures. From the outside, it stands out with its modern architectural style, making a striking impression. However, upon entering, visitors are transported into a more traditional and solemn atmosphere, highlighted by massive pillars intricately carved in the style of the Ly Dynasty. The pagoda’s roof, curving gracefully like dragons and phoenixes, reflects familiar elements of traditional Vietnamese architecture.
The grand hall, with its three-tiered structure, forms a harmonious and majestic ensemble. The spacious grounds are lined with trees, creating a tranquil and refreshing environment. At the heart of the main hall is a towering 7-meter statue of Amitabha Buddha, while outside, a statue of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara sits within a large rock garden adorned with intricately carved dragon heads, adding to the unique beauty of the site.
The East and West wings surrounding the main courtyard, featuring a large lecture hall, serve as important spaces for Buddhist events, as well as guest rooms and quarters for the monks.

A noteworthy feature of Pho Quang Pagoda is its sacred Sal tree, brought from India.
